Mini face wash review - Aveeno, Olay, Clean and Clear, Burt's Bees, Clinique and St. Ives

Since I've been in grade 8 I've tried many new face washes. Nothing has ever worked for me! I've tried Aveeno, Olay, Clean and Clear, Burts Bee's, Clinique, and St. Ive's.  My face type is very sensitive and dry to very dry and I have a couple of blemishes now and then. I have an uneven skin tone, probably because my face is very dry. I also have a hard time with products drying me out more than they should and making my face flakey. I get patches of dry skin on my cheeks and under my eyes. Here are some previous face washes, scrubs, foams, moisturizers, and cleansers that I have tried.

Aveeno
I have tried their Active Naturals cream exfoliator and their Clear Complexion face foam. I would recommend Aveeno to anyone, it's not alcohol based and they use soy as their base product; which there is a lot of controversy about so it's up to you on the soy ordeal. Their products are fairly gentle on the skin but I find they dry my face out a little more then I would like them to.

Olay
Just look at my last post here

Clean and Clear
I would not recommend Clean and Clear to people with dry and sensitive skin. Most of their products are alcohol based which means they strip away all oils; good and bad off of your face.I have tried the black head scrub and black head liquid cleanser. If you have oily skin though this is a good product to keep your oil under control!

Burt's Bees
I have tried the sensitive skin facial cleanser with cotton extract. This is a cream that goes on your face... and doesn't come off. This product clogs your pores and does not clean them. I was just experimenting whether or not that my makeup had come off, so I took a cotton pad and put rubbing alcohol on it and wiped my face. My makeup was still on my face after I had washed my face! This product is too thick, it's more of a face moisturizer then a face wash. I do not recommend this product to any skin types at all.

Clinique
People always tend to run to the big name and expensive products because they "work better". It's about the product that is inside not the name or the price that makes these face products work for you! I had the whole set; the facial bar soap, toner, and moisturizer. People think way too highly of this brand, because this did not work for me. I hate bar soap because it makes my skin tight (I think they have changed to a liquid soap now), their toner has alcohol in it which makes my face very dry, and their moisturizer doesn't penetrate  deep into the skin, it just sits on top and does nothing. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Very bad quality and too pricey for what you get.

St. Ives
I have tried the apricot scrub and it smalls amazing! I love the beads and I found that it did it's job. I found that it's too rough for my type of skin; although I would be willing to try other products by them because they don't dry out your skin. If you do have sensitive skin maybe only use this product once a week to get off dead skin, excess oils, and makeup. I would love to try the chamomile face cleanser as part of my daily routine! If you don't have sensitive skin then I would really recommend this product to you!
